''It all started in the 2nd year of dentistry, when a close friend of mine got a medical sweatshirt tailor-made by a seamstress as a birthday present. In patterns. Beautiful. Made of a material that could not be purchased.
At the time I was in possession of one baggy medical set made of polyester and cotton. I liked it and still have it to this day. It was the first one, so it has a lot of fondness until now. It looked old-school, but still cool. Why? Because the first one lacked expectations. It was enough for him to be.
The thought that something more modern, comfortable and enjoyable could be created gave birth to the desire to create a set for myself, for my own use. The excitement? Preternaturally high. Motivation that something could be created? Even greater. The gift to the aforementioned friend unlocked in me the gateway that, in fact, mankind has already invented penicillin, the Internet, birth control pills, the air conditioner, let alone sewing machines with which to sew scrubs. Eureka.
The result was the first patterned sweatshirts sewn at the hemstitchers in Silesia, in my student town of Zabrze. Ideas evolved steadily, from patterned sweatshirts, to aprons, to scrubs or one-color sets - which at the time were to me what a packet of jellybeans was to our parents, from my Uncle in Germany in the late 70's and early 80's.
Compliments and questions about the first prototypes of clothes I wore to class caused mental lactation that someone appreciated these scrubs baby. A pandemic came along that allowed me to find time to take the idea more seriously. And so, at the beginning of July 2020, with the first orders, the first MEDHOODIE scrubs set off in Poland.''
